As Kyambogo University Uganda’s second largest University goes for polls in late November, many aspirants have came on board to declare their intentions to aspire for different positions in the forthcoming guild elections.

Asasiira Rachael announced her declaration bid for GRC faculty of social sciences in the forthcoming guild elections.

The announcement this week on social media packed with political bigwigs and hundreds of supporters followed speculation that the 22-year-old – who was the face of kyambogo’s politics

“I do hereby accept to present myself as a candidate for the forthcoming guild elections. she declared to raucous cheers, adding that she was committed to building a “democratic and progressive FASS in our lifetime”.

“I am in this race to mould one indivisible FASS,” she said.

Political analysts say Asasiira Racheal is likely to be the GRC faculty of social sciences if she doubles her efforts .

“It will be a tough balance, and one of the aspirants is bound to receive the short end of the stick.”
