Uganda National Students Association (UNSA) on Thursday (September 29) held a peaceful demonstration as they protested the European Union resolutions on Ugandan oil with the help of police.
Recently the EU parliament passed resolutions to stop the construction of the $3.5b (sh14trillion) crude oil pipeline project in the East African region.

The group started their demonstration from Kololo Airstrip to Wampeewo Avenue, Jinja Road, Parliamentary Avenue to Crested Towers where the EU offices are located and then back to Kololo Airstrip after presenting their petition.

Over 60 schools participated in the demonstrations.
The group was escorted by police from Kololo to the airstrip and then back. The students matched as they held placards and vuvuzelas
The demonstration was led by UNSA President Yusuf and his cabinet members including the UNSA General Secretary was present at the scene
