Weekend Celebrity : Meet Sheilah Gashumba NBS after 5 presenter

Sheilah is a talented dancer, commercial model, digital influencer, fashionista and more recently an event MC. She became one of the presenters that started with NTV when it has just arrived in Uganda and was looking for a presenter for a teens.

Her name came top of the list and she co-hosted T-Nation for three years.
Sheilah’s real name is Nyinashumba Carol and She was born on 7th February, 1996,by Frank and Cherie Gashumba both of Rwandan descent.
Sheila started out her elementary school at Little Angels Nakasero before transferring to Taibah Junior School which is currently known as Taibah International and she finally completed.

She proceeded to primary school at City Parents Primary School where she scored 4 aggregates.Upon completing primary school, she joined St. Mary’s College Namagunga and later transferred to Taibah International School. However, once she finished secondary education, she never completed her university education thanks to her busy career.
She started her career at WBS TV where she worked as a news anchor and reporter for a kids show. After two years of working under this category,she advanced to hosting a live two-hour entertainment show for teenagers dubbed Teens Club.

She later on hosted T-Nation before transferring to join NTV THE BEAT as a host along side Douglas Lwanga who was co-hosting with her,NTV the beat , she managed to get exclusive interviews with international and best African artists such as Wiz kid, Dbanj, Yemi Alade, Patoranking and many more.
The beauty queen left NTV, the Serena based television on grounds that she was being poorly paid and joined NBS after 5 where she is working currently with Douglas Lwanga,Mc kats,DJ Roja and Dj mercy.

She has influenced many brands like Africell signed her up as their brand ambassador as well as the company’s face to feature in it’s commercial and billboards, worked as Kuku chicken brand ambassador,Coca-cola also signed up Sheila to promote their coke studio Africa which basically brings top African musicians to perform live collaborations among others.

She has also hosted the Miss Rwanda beauty pageant and the Master Card Foundation School Conference among other events.
Relationship: She dumped God’s plan for Rick man who is a ugandan artist whom she is currently with.

Sheila operates a charity called YOUNG BODIES BIG HEARTS which she opened in 2012. She says she believes in giving back to society and she adds that there is nothing like making a child smile on and has a great future.

Sheila explains that the organization does annual charity events and gives back to Sanyu Babies Home and God’s image ministry charity home among others.
