Following the suspension of most of the candidates that had expressed interest in taking on the top most office at the great Makerere hill under the National Unity Platform flag, the part University Chapter through the office of General Secretary has decided to recall for fresh expression of interest for the party flag bearer ahead of July polls according to the letter she shared with campasstv

It should be noted that on 27th June 2022, Mwesigwa Calvin Mugambwa and Kenneth Tushabe who were among the shortlisted candidates who had expressed interest in holding the flag ahead of the July Polls were suspended until further notice by the University’s vice chancellor for allegedly involving themselves in acts of indiscipline.

We are a mass party alive to appeals from many party chapter members with qualities to take on the junta after its all-suited actions.There fore there is need to create a fair and accessible ground for individuals who were not interested by the time of our first call for applications, she added

Those interested in in taking part in the party primaries are informed to tender in their applications to the chapter email not later than 1:00pm on Saturday, 2nd July. Interested candidates shall attach the University ID as well as the Academic Results on their applications forms alongside a list of 100 seconders with valid details concerning eac seconder, statement from party chapter general secretary
