NUP Makerere Chapter Has Released Final List Of Duly Nominated Candidates To Contest For The NUP Guild Presidential Flag Ticket Ahead Of July Polls



The National Unity Platform’s Makerere Chapter General Secretary Nattabi Margret released the NUP party Guild Presidential flag before applicants ahead of forthcoming party primaries elections that will be conducted soon by the NUP Makerere Chapter party Speaker Chavez

According to the NUP Makerere Chapter General Secretary, Nattabi Margaret through the letter shared to campasstv, she said that the academic qualifications of the applicants were qualified in conformity with article 16 of the Guild Constitution as amended and the University Electoral Regulations of 2018 .In the spite of the above, candidates who tendered in applications abcit with pending academic issues will be included on the list any time before the release of the Party Guild Presidential Electoral roadmap, such candidates are advised to produce clearance from the academic registrar in due time statement from party General Secretary

Mwesigwa Calvin Mugambwa (MCM) among the four candidates who have been confirmed to vie for the party flag ticket with one candidate dropped out of the five names submitted due to marks issues

The confirmed candidates for the party Guild Presidential flag bearer applicants race are Katushabe Kenneth (KK), a second-year student from (CONAS), Mwesigwa Calvin Mugambwa (MCM) pursuing a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from (CHS), Mugerwa Joseph (MJ) of Bachelor of information technology from (COCIS), and Nalwangu Edward doing Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Organizational psychology from (CHUSS)

According to NUP Makerere Chapter General Secretary, Mrs. Nattabi Margaret, aspiring candidates are required to have no missing marks/retakes, among other qualifications.

Earlier this week news leaked that one of the aspirants in names of Bbosa Edwin who had seeked interest to run NUP card, didn’t appear on the list of applicants since its alleged that he has issues with marks that’s why he delayed to submit his academic results to the party general Secretary

Bbosa Edwin, who is a third-year Bachelor of law student had contested under the ruling party (NUP) ticket and many students had hopes of securing the bag during this year’s guild campaigns.

The University will go for polls on 13th july , to vote for their new guild leaders in an what will be physical voting according to the letter the Dean of students shared to the EC committee
