Kyambogo loan scheme students screech for timely consideration

The students of Kyambogo University under the government education support program HESFB (Loan scheme) screech for assistance from the relevant authorities over there unpaid tuition of the second semester of 2020/2021 academic year.
Interacting with the students’ leadership of the body at Kyambogo University, the representatives said they are horrified cause they sat their final exams before enrolling for their respective course units and registering for the semester which is only done after completion of full tuition.
“It is to my dismay for the first time that the bursar has taken too long to upload money on the portal even when tuition were cleared a month back which Left most students stranded during examination,” said the Kyambogo HESFB president, Ojok Boniface. Many students faced inconveniences as they sat their final exams since they didn’t have any proof of payment.
The big question is on who is to face the penalties of late enrollment and registration, in case these students are missing among those enrolled for the previous semester because the students portals have started displaying the first semester of the 2021/2021 academic year?
The HESFB students request for immediate consideration from the relevant authorities before the situation worsens.
