Fighting terrorism: Universty students denied entrance with their bags at campus

Following the recent bombing on Tuesday 16th-11-2021 near the Kampala central Police station yesterday, Universities have tightened the security as a way of fighting terrorism.just today the Banda based Universty has denied students from entering into the Universty with their bags so as to deter any possible occurrence of what had just taken yesterday which Islamic State group claims responsible.

The explosion that happened yesterday near the police station shattered windows while the one near the entrance to parliament saw cars parked nearby burst into flames, said police director operations, Assistant Inspector General of police (AIGP) Edward Ochom.

“We have so far received 27 casualties of the bomb blasts yesterday’s morning. Seven were in critical conditions while 20 were stable. Seven of them are female and the rest are men and majority of the victims are police officers. We have not lost any patient yet,” said Dr.byanyima.
