Disgruntled Roy Ssemboga is looking forward to trouncing his former boss in round two of Makerere politics as he keeps on switching from candidate to another. By the end of last week he was supporting Shamim Nambasa in the NUP primaries against Nelson Ssewanyana. They now moved to the FDC riding on the self made FDC candidate Kamulegeya Obeid.

Roy Ssemboga has postured himself as the John Lennon of Makerere politics for the past two terms since he fell out with the National Unity Platform in the National elections in which he was accused of violating party rules by running against the party’s cadre in the Kawempe North parliamentary race.

Dr. Roy Ssemboga was the foreman of all higher institutions of learning in the National Unity Platform and People Power Movement before he fell out with their principal. His position was then hijacked by Julius Katerrega who was also overridden by Musiri David who now runs the Institutions of the party National Coordinator.

However, the disgruntled Dr. Roy may never move on. In the recent guild election, the former introduced Ssempijja Ivan as a people power candidate against the party candidate Aaron Oguttu where Ivan Ssempijja trounced Aaron Ogutu.

Ssemboga has often recruited from both the NUP and UYD to his new formation the Now Generation which has recruited so many students that have spent years at Makerere without graduating.

This timend the he decided to fight the system from inside by presenting two candidates to participate in the race.
