On Tuesday night, independent candidate Mutsinzi Ronald had a triumphant entry into the mighty Northcote, a determinant hall of residence comprising of Nsibirwa and Nkrumah. Mutsinzi whose entourage was flanked by his aides and elders received a heroic welcome around the Nkrumah hall parking lot where a mammoth crowd was impatiently waiting for his debutant visit.
He was greeted with cheers and ululations from his enthusiastic supporters. Mutsinzi left the entire Northcote paralyzed with residents warming up for his mind gobbling oratory.
“Gallant Makerereans, I convey my revolutionary greetings to each of you on your respective dignitaries. I am Mutsinzi Ronald, a third year law scholar aspiring for Guild Presidency,” he retorted, sending the crowd into cheers. “I am here to write history and go down to the books as the guild president who stood by the interests of the students. I can never forsake you. Come 13th November, let’s all turn up in large numbers and make history,” he added.
Mutsinzi’s rhetoric earned him a mega endorsement from the already heartbroken Northcote which a day back lost the NUP flag to Shamim Nambasa. By the end of the interface, all Northcote elders vowed to unanimously back Mutsinzi all the way to the ballot as the 87th Guild President.
