Hope : ministry of education set to meet on Monday 30th-08-2021 to decide on the schools reopenning dates

The latest news we have received is that the officials from ministry of education and sports led by Ms Kataha Museveni are to meet on monday 30th-08-2021 to decide on the reopening dates of education institutions.
The information was revealed in the letter dated 27th-08-2021 which invites all the all district, municipality education officials and inspectors of schools.
According to the letter, the ministry of education and sports permanent secretary ketty lamaro stated that the virtual consultantative meeting will take place on Monday 30th-08-2021 from 2:00pm where the stake holders will decide on the dates for completion of the academic year 2020 and see learners progress to the next level.
“The purpose of this information is to invite stakeholders on the government’s proposal on the safe dates of reopening of education institutions and progression of the learners to the next level.”
The PS added that the arrangements is in line with presidential speech which was on 30th-07-2021 in which he stated that the education institutions will reopen when teachers and students have been vaccinated.
