Five Persons Hacked to Death In Masaka.Assailants on the run

Security has been beefed up in greater Masaka after unknown assailants attacked and killed five people in different parts of the region.

Fear, panic, and tension have engulfed residents of Kyabbogo village in Kingo sub-county Lwengo district following the gruesome murder of one of the residents in this village.

The deceased is identified as Mbaziira Richard aged 60 who is also a catholic catchiest.
Locals say by the time the assailants attacked him, he was having supper at his home. This is evident by the left overs of what he was eating that was observed at the scene of crime.
Leaders and locals are existing in notion since this is the fifth person to be annihilated in just period of two weeks.

Last week leaders in Masaka appeared in a joint press conference and blamed the killing of innocent people on the negligence of the police to investigate crimes in time and bring the findings and suspects to the know.
However Muhamad Nsubuga the Masaka sub-region police spokesman says they have so far arrested some people suspected to behind these attacks.
