Amidst the harsh times brought by the covid 19 pandemic the Uganda medical association has threatened to strike again, this was seen in the letter written to the latter of health.

The medic bosses in the letter have a lot of issues they need the government to solve through the ministry of health according to Dr. Mukuzi muhereza the secretary general for the Medics association.

Amongst all the demands by medics, they stuck mainly on the passing of a supplementary budget for the medical association in the view of increasing salaries for their workers and immediate announcement and replacement of vacant places of the medical workers that succumbed to covid-19. They also further asked for more procurement of medical equipments to fight covid 19 and compensation of medical personnel that succumbed to the disease hence gave the government 90 days ultimatum.

However the ministry of health said that it has started round table talks with the medics claiming that this is the crucial moment for them since they are frontliners in this battle of covid 19 henceforth their needs are going to be sorted out immediately.
