Besigye urges government to reopen up schools

Dr kiiza besigye a medical doctor and aformer personal physician to president yoweri kaguta Museveni has urged the government to reopen up schools immediately, he says that the students have a higher immunity to with stand covid 19.
While addressong journalists at his office in kampala along katonga road, besigye said that the government has done the biggest crime to to refuse to reopen the schools and there ia no justification for the measures that have been taken in the education sector.
Its rememberered that government closed institutions on 18th june at the time lower class primary schools were to resume.however only medical schools are to resume on 13th august this year 2021 others until the government has carried out massive vaccination of students.it is also on record that the government has so far vaccinated 1.1million Ugandans out of the targetted 21 million Ugandans targetted.
Dr Besigye added that the government shold priotise vaccination of teachers above 50years well as for day schoolars, the government should vaccinate thier parents.
Besigye therefor advised the government to invest highly in standard operating procedures like providIng free soad and hand washing water in places of congestion and also increasing the ICU beds all the hospitals and healthy centres with in the country.
