Makerere university Ranked 5th best in Africa

Makerere university has been ranked by the Uk’s Times higher education Magazine as 5th best university in Africa which is the latest world University ranking and annual publications .inniially, according to world university rankings,Makerere was taking 700-900 position however it has improved to the best 400-500 universities in the world and best in EastAfrica.
On global scene makerere school of health sciences was ranked 250th in the world which was based on research publication,education and general performance.
The Vice chancellor welcomed the rankings because it measures the quality of research and teaching.
“The rankings confirms that our healthy research is top as we always exceed when it come sto clinical research and infectius diseases such as TB,ebola and HIV/AIDs. We also have 3 of the top 50 clinical researchers in the world who includes prof. David sserwada,prof. Nelson Sewankambo and prof. Wabwire fredrick mangeni, “. Vice chancellor Nawangwe said.
