Makere to host world healthy summit 2021

The World Health Summit Regional Meeting 2021 will be hosted and organized by Makerere University in partnership with the Government of Uganda.The 8th World Health Summit regional meeting -Africa event will be both physical and virtual. The Venue for the Physical meeting will be at Speke Resort Munyonyo between 27th – 30th June 2021. Uganda was confirmed to host the event during the February 2021 M8Alliance committee meeting.

The central topics are in line with the African journey towards meeting the UN Sustainable Development Goals and achieving universal health coverage.Topics include: The Health of the African Youth, Advancing Technology for Health in Africa, Infectious Diseases and Global Health Security, Stemming the Tide of Non-Communicable Diseases in Low- and Middle-Income Countries, Inter-Sectoral Action for Health.
