Makerere university postspones 71st graduation

Makerere University has for the second time postponed its 71st graduation ceremony over clash with the president Museveni’s swearing in scheduled for May 2021.

President Museveni as planned is set to swear in during the second week of May around the time Makerere University scheduled its graduation.

This as a result made Makerere University to push the graduation to May 17th 2021.

The originally scheduled dates were between March 16th-19th. However, the graduation was also postponed since marks for some students weren’t ready.

During a phone call with a local radio station KFM. The vice chancellor prof barnaabas Nawangwe revealed that over 12000 students are set to graduate in this year’s ceremony and the institution will contract a new graduation gown supplier ahead of the 71st graduation ceremony.
